Primary Projects

TDG’s Primary Projects offer participants an inexpensive way to obtain up-to-date consumer insights without the associated costs of custom research.

Using a multiclient format, a limited number of anonymous partners come together all sharing an interest in a specific research topic. This coalescence of interest allows sponsoring partners to gain valuable insights into their own questions and invaluable insight into what the rest of the industry is trying to address.

New study launching November 2011

APP-titude: Consumer Preferences for TV Apps & Social Platforms
TDG will soon launch a new study examining consumer desires and expectations surrounding TV Apps and Social TV features. This study will be an update to our existing research testing the market viability of several possible TV App categories. As such, it will build on the knowledge base of our previous release, creating a more comprehensive resource from which companies can accurately gauge the consumer mindset and proceed accordingly.

These studies are now included in TDG's Premier Member program.

Video Behavior in the Age of Quantum Media: 2011  Spring Study
As consumers take greater control of their own broadcast schedule, the ways in which they consume video reflects some core concepts of Quantum physics: there is no such thing as absolute place or absolute time. This study is examination of consumer interests surrounding multi- screen video and simulscreening behaviors.

Benchmarking the Connected Consumer  Fall Study
This project will generate deep intelligence on an evolving market space fraught with uncertainty; an industry undergoing quantum shifts now redefining the entire media value chain. Companies active in the design, manufacture, or sale of digital consumer electrons or digital media must understand how the diffusion of network-capable video platforms will impact their business.

In addition, TDG can provide custom research for the US and global markets.
