Primary Projects

TDG’s Primary Projects offer participants an inexpensive way to obtain up-to-date consumer insights without the associated costs of custom research.

Using a multiclient format, a limited number of anonymous partners come together all sharing an interest in a specific research topic. This coalescence of interest allows sponsoring partners to gain valuable insights into their own questions and invaluable insight into what the rest of the industry is trying to address.

Benchmarking the Connected Consumer
This project will generate deep intelligence on an evolving market space fraught with uncertainty; an industry undergoing quantum shifts now redefining the entire media value chain. Companies active in the design, manufacture, or sale of digital consumer electrons or digital media must understand how the diffusion of network-capable video platforms will impact their business.

TV Everywhere: Models, Messages and Must Haves for a TV-to-Web Delivery Scheme
Companies must soon make the transition from the single-screen TV-centric paradigm to a quantum multi-screen model. This study is aimed on providing specific insights needed to design a compelling consumer-driven TV-to-Web business model.

Home Network Usage—From Data to Media Sharing
The home network has evolved well beyond the simple sharing of broadband, printers, and files. Today’s home network is becoming a media sharing platform as more and more consumer electronic devices become dependent on a broadband connection. This study will explore the extent of this shift and examine consumer reaction to these new applications.

Recent Primary Projects have included:

In addition, TDG can provide custom research both within the US and internationally.
