1. Soccer

Barron Trump, son of President Donald Trump, has a keen interest in sports, specifically soccer. He actively participates in the sport, and in 2017, he joined the D.C. U-12 team and development academy. 

Barron played as a midfielder at RFK Stadium while playing for the D.C. United Development Academy in September 2017.  

His profile was even listed on the academy’s official website. Barron played in a few matches and is recognized by his jersey number, No. 81.

2. Golf

Barron Trump has also been spotted playing golf with his father several times. Known for his love of the sport, President Trump often takes to the golf course to relax and unwind. 

It seems that Barron has inherited his father’s passion for golf, as he was seen at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, practicing his swing alongside his dad. 

These sightings have sparked speculation about Barron’s future in the sport and whether he may pursue a career in golf. However, these are just speculations. 

Who knows? Maybe he takes part in the sport to spend time with his dad. Or is it because golf is for the wealthy, and they happen to be in that category?

His Father Doesn’t Want Him Playing Football

During an interview with CBS’s Margaret Brennan before the Super Bowl, President Trump was asked if he would encourage his son to play football. In response, Trump said he would not actively encourage or push him toward the sport.

I just don’t like the reports that I see coming out having to do with football – I mean, it’s a dangerous sport, and I think it’s – I – it’s – tough. I thought the equipment would get better, and it has. The helmets have gotten far better, but it hasn’t solved the problem,” Trump said.

So, you know I – I hate to say it because I love to watch football. I think the NFL is a great product, but as far as my son – well, I’ve heard NFL players saying they wouldn’t let their sons play football. So it’s not totally unique, but I would have a hard time with it.” He added.

Trump further stated that Barron is more interested in soccer anyway.

2. He wasn’t ready to move to state house – Upon his election as president, Donald Trump revealed that his son Barron had reservations about leaving behind his life in New York City and transitioning to the White House. 

Trump expressed that Barron, who was nine years old then, had developed a strong attachment to New York and his school, making the move a significant upheaval in his young life.

3. Barron took his classmates on a field trip to the White House – In Barron’s last year at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School, he organized a trip for his fifth-grade class to Washington. 

Accompanied by approximately 80 students, their teachers, and Secret Service agents, Barron led the excursion to the White House, where they had the privilege of meeting his father. 

The experience extended beyond the White House visit, as the group also toured the nation’s capital and stayed overnight at a hotel before returning home.

4. Donald chose the name – Before the birth of Barron, Donald proposed the name for their son, a name he had always been fond of but never had the opportunity to bestow upon his other sons. 

Melania agreed with the suggestion, fully supporting Donald’s choice. However, just as Melanie was about to give birth, Donald began to doubt the name. However, Melanie already liked the name, and they had to stick to it.

It’s a name I’ve always loved but never had the courage to use. I gave the idea to Melania, and then I was going to take it away at the very end, and she said, ‘You can’t take it away! I’ve been calling him Barron while he’s been in my stomach, and you just can’t take it away!’ ” Trump said on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
